Development
We have a thriving development programme, and have provided over 1000 new homes since 1991.
Through the InKent Development Alliance, we have been able to secure grant funding of £11.5 million to enable us to build over 240 new homes in the next 4 years. |

In 2007 our development scheme at Whitepost Wood Lane, Aylesford was awarded Highly Commented status in the Affordable Housing Section of the Evening Standard New Homes Awards. Two of our development schemes - Kings Hill Phase 5 and Mill Street, East Malling were shortlisted in the same awardsIn 2006 , with the Mill Street scheme being awarded Highly Commended status.
Our development of extra energy-efficient homes at Beaufighter Road, West Malling. was shortlisted in the Housing Design Awards 2005 and featured in the Exhibition of Excellence. These houses were carefully designed to maximise the passive solar gain into habitable rooms and feature a two-storey glazed sunstore on the southern elevation (shown opposite). Most of our new homes become part of our rented stock, but we develop some on a shared ownership basis. We are working in partnership with Moat, a Kent based housing association who have been appointed the government's HomeBuy Agent for Kent.
